Modular Building and In Plant Office Wall Core Types:
Thermal Core - This core is National Partitions standard core material. The core is comprised of polystyrene and is used as a continuous support for the entire wall panel. This core offers superior strength and insulation over conventional steel studs.
1-Hour Core - Some applications require the fire safety of 1-Hour construction as defined by ASTM E-119. The 1-Hour Core and Wall Gripper connection system have passed this requirement and are certified for those applications. This is another National Partitions exclusive. One can find demountable partitions or other wall products with less features, and this rating...but when it comes to modular, nonprogressive, unitized wall products, National Partitions stands alone.
Hush Core - The Hush Core system can stop noise with its rating of STC 45 or better. Ideal for manufacturing plants with loud heavy equipment. The design is such that National Partitions can custom build to meet a specific frequency that needs to be neutralized.
Type 1 Core - The exclusive 100% non-combustible core. Many industrial and commercial applications are type 1 or type 2 constructions. These constructions require all components to be non-combustible. In the industry some manufacturers call their panels "non-combustible" but that only applies to the wall substrate, their core material would not pass the requirement of non-combustibility. The Type 1 Core offers builders the solution to this requirement while maintaining the complete flexibility of its modular design.
